Headed to D.C. Superior Court any time soon? Well, if you are, good luck finding a parking spot.
These photos were taken on Indiana Avenue and 4th Street down by the Judiciary Square Metro station.
Cars that have various types of law enforcement parking permits are taking up spaces on those streets, and it appears as though police officials are displaying various symbols of their status on their dashboards to avoid paying meters.
You can see photos of these different kinds of permits in the gallery above, but here are a few dashboard items some cars are using:
- A "U.S. Capitol Police Junior Officer" Sticker
- An "Urban Parking Permit"
- Metropolitan Police Department hats
- A sign that just says "Official Police Business"
